You are experiencing culture shock. What is Culture Shock? Generally, this is an ideal way to meet the locals in a chilled and cosy atmosphere. You are reconnecting with what you value about yourself and your own culture.
Studying abroad and culture shock go hand in hand. You might find that you don't feel it at all, but just remember that others can feel it incredibly strongly, and you need to be there for them if they do. I just want to go home! You embrace the new culture and see everything in a new, yet realistic light.
You may feel angry, frustrated and even feel hostile to those around you. Whatever your encounters are, you will need to develop coping mechanisms.
